Environmental Protection Program and highways :DAVAO CITY

To develop in the youth the value of protecting our environment, Congressman Karlo Nograles started the OPLAN KALIKASAN (ENVIRONMENT), an Environmental Protection Program using as his catalyst the thousands of Nograles scholars. Beginning in the year 2005, Congressman Karlo Nograles organized tree-planting activities which required all scholars to plant mangrove trees during semestral and summer breaks of the school year. During each tree-planting activity, experts on environmental protection were invited to give lectures to the scholars on the value of caring for one's environment, and to challenge scholars to make environmental protection their personal advocacy and spread the word to all their peers.

To bring fast development in the community, Congressman Karlo Nograles also arrange for massive infrastructure development through OPLAN KALSADA, constructing barangay roads and path walks, farm-to-market roads, school buildings, day care centers, barangay health centers. Basketball courts, multi-purpose buildings, water system projects, flood control projects, canals and bridges.
